How Sahyadri Works
A step-by-step look at the SahyadriDAG transaction lifecycle.
Transaction Created
A user creates and signs a transaction using CSM through a wallet or application. The signed transaction is submitted to a Sahyadri node via the SubmitAccountTransaction RPC endpoint and enters the network's mempool, awaiting inclusion in a block.
→Mempool & Block Construction
The mempool prioritizes transactions by fee and arrival time. Miners select transactions from the mempool, validate them against the current account state and crest records, and construct a block template. Multiple miners can independently propose blocks concurrently in the SahyadriDAG structure.
→Sahyadri Consensus Ordering
Proposed blocks are broadcast across the P2P network. Sahyadri Consensus — a DAG-aware proof-of-work protocol — orders all parallel blocks into a single canonical history. Unlike traditional chains where competing blocks are orphaned, every valid block in SahyadriDAG is accepted and ordered.
→Finality & Settlement
Once ordered by Sahyadri Consensus, transactions achieve BFT-grade finality in approximately 1 second. The block is permanently recorded on the ledger, balances are updated, and the transaction is considered irreversible — confirmed and settled faster than any payment method in existence.
Post-Quantum Secure Mutation Layer (QML)
A quantum-resistant Layer-1 blockchain security architecture built with Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), designed to protect against future quantum computing threats using ML-DSA (Dilithium) and crypto-agile infrastructure.
- The Production Engine (Zero Latency PoW Layer): Sahyadri uses an optimized Proof-of-Work (PoW) execution engine designed for 10,000 TPS throughput and 1-second block finality while maintaining ASIC-resistant mining security.
- Post-Quantum Cryptographic Layer: The protocol integrates NIST-standard ML-DSA (Dilithium) as a post-quantum signature scheme, ensuring long-term resistance against quantum attacks such as Shor's algorithm.
- Hybrid Signature Transition Mode: During migration phases, the network supports dual-signing (ECDSA + Dilithium) to ensure backward compatibility and gradual transition to quantum-safe security.
- Crypto-Agile Architecture: All cryptographic primitives are abstracted through upgradeable cryptographic traits, allowing future migration to newer post-quantum algorithms like Falcon or SPHINCS+ without network disruption.
- Quantum Migration Preparedness: A future soft-fork upgrade enables seamless activation of post-quantum wallet migration, allowing users to upgrade addresses without losing access or funds.
- Secure Key Derivation Model: Existing 12/24 seed phrases deterministically generate post-quantum key pairs using secure mapping to ensure interoperability between classical and quantum-safe cryptography.

Why Sahyadri
The world's fastest proof-of-work blockchain with an account + crest model. No other network comes close.
Fastest PoW Blockchain Ever Built
Traditional international bank transfers take 1–5 business days and charge 3–7% in fees. Payment processors take 1–3% per transaction. Sahyadri settles any transaction — whether across the street or across the world — in 1 second, with near-zero fees. No intermediary, no waiting period, no hidden charges. Send value from anywhere to anywhere in the time it takes to blink — for as low as 0.00001 CSM per transaction.
Smart, Flexible, and Secured by Mining
Most PoW blockchains are limited to simple transfers. Sahyadri's Account + Crest model enables structured on-chain data, allowing us to anchor Web5 DIDs directly to the network. Build decentralized applications, manage censorship-resistant identities, or run complex financial instruments — all protected by ASIC-resistant mining.
Instant Confirmation, Zero Doubt
When you send a payment, you want to know it's confirmed — not pending, not waiting for blocks, not reversible. Traditional payment networks take hours to days for true settlement. Card networks batch transactions at the end of the day. Sahyadri gives you cryptographic finality in 1 second. Your transaction is permanent, irreversible, and confirmed before you put your phone back in your pocket.
No More Wasted Mining
In traditional blockchains, when two miners find a block at the same time, one gets rejected — wasted energy, wasted work. SahyadriDAG eliminates this. Every block created is accepted into the DAG structure, ordered by Sahyadri Consensus. No orphans, no discarded work. Every hash computed contributes to the network. This is how Sahyadri achieves 10,000 TPS while maintaining full decentralization.
